'Exploring Drypoint Printing'

£60.00

During this workshop artist and printmaker ‘Sherry Rea’ will introduce you to drypoint etching using a printmaking press. Drypoint etching produces detailed linework by scratching a plastic plate with a ‘needle’, followed by inking and printing. The workshop will also show you how to use simple monoprinting and paper masks to introduce broad but specific areas of colour to the print.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some printing experience, no drawing skills are required. Artist’s quality inks/papers are included. There will be plenty of inspiration and resources available at the workshop. The art that you create to take home could be abstract or illustrative, funky or traditional, and expressive or graphic!
